Manchester City are reportedly planning for life after Pep Guardiola, whose contract at the club runs out in 2021.
The Catalan coach is in his fourth season as City boss and, looking at his time with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, he rarely stays in one place for too long.
According to the Daily Mirror, City are lining up Giovanni van Bronckhorst to succeed Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
The Dutchman has accepted an inside role at the Premier League champions and, although there is no agreement in place for him to take Guardiola’s job, City want him to be as prepared as possible should he find himself in charge.
Van Bronkhorst was appointed Feyenoord boss in 2015 and left at the end of last season having won the Eredivisie and two KNVB Cups during his time in the dugout.
