Top seed Novak Djokovic produced yet another clinical display this time against David Goffin to book a place in the finals of the Japan Open on his debut. This is following a stellar 50-minute match he played in the quarter against Lucas Pouille which the Serb himself described as a game he played like a machine.
Djokovic overpowered the Belgian in the semis in straight sets (6-3 6-4) with minimal fuss. During the match, Djokovic won 86% of his first service points and saw out the match in just over an hour.
He will face unseeded John Millman who made it to his first ATP 500 final with a straight-sets win over Reilly Opelka. The 30-year-old Australian has posted a 6-3 7-6 (7-4) victory over the towering American.
